This song is by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat. The key is C.
These are the “cheat” chords I played in the video…
Part 1: C - Am7 - Dm7 - G - G/F - E - Am7 - Dm7 - G
(- E/G#)
Part 2: Am7 - Dm7 - G - C - G/B - Am7 - Dm7 - G
Part 3: C - Am7 - Em7
Part 4a: Dm7 - Am7 - G - Dm7
Part 4b: Dm7 - Am7 - G - F/A - G/B

Your website and videos really great, thank you so much
Hi kitara, thank you so much for your comment!
that was great but could you find out how to play the song by using chords on the right hand please that would be great
Hi SEan, it would be difficult to see what notes I press if I were to show the full chords on video.
However, you can try this out yourself as I have listed down the chords below the video. Cheers!
I’m a beginner on the piano, and this video and set of chords makes it easier to play this song.
i love it ,,, thanks a lot ,,, !!
Glad to know that! Thanks for your comment!
Can you do it with just letters like CDEFGA? I Don’t understand all this lol C - Am7 - Dm7 - G - G/F - E - Am7 - Dm7 - G
In that case, turn Am7 into C/A (i.e., C chord with A bass-note); and Dm7 into F/D. Hope this helps.
Is there any way that you could email me or mail me the actual sheet music for this simple way of playing Lucky? I am trying to learn it to play and sing at a wedding on June 25. I understand if you don;t have time. I don’t mind paying for it at all. Your site is AWESOME but I am just having trouble watching you play the chords as I am trying to learn them myself! I can read music fairly well. Thank you for such a great site.
Hi Christy, I’m sorry, I’m really not that good in writing sheet music. However, if you can understand chords, then I do have the chords of the songs already listed on the post of the song, right below its video. I hope they are helpful to your preparation.
For beginners like me, this video is very helpful. Thank you!
You are welcome, Betty! Thank you for giving your feedback!
its not the right cheat am i right?
because i see in youtube its more beautiful but its okay then
admin, please tell me how I can’t figure it out from the text. Why is there only 1 line while you use 2 hands in the video?
The text (the chords) is for those who understand chords. Otherwise, please just follow the video.
Hey! Whats the left hand chord? Sorry im confused
The way I played here is that the left and right hand combination is a chord. And the playing is to accompany a melody that is sung or played by another instrument. Hope this answers your question.
