你最珍贵 by 张学友 & 高慧君
This song by Jacky Cheung and Gao Hui Jun is in Bb.
Please note that the chords in the brackets in Part 1 are played when connecting Part 1 to Part 2.
The chords in the brackets in Part 2 are played before repeating Part 2.

These are the “cheat” chords I played…
Part 1a: Bb2 - Eb/Bb - Bb2 - Bb/D - Eb
Part 1b: Dm7 - Gm7 - Cm7 - Eb/F (- Bb2 - Ab/Bb - Bm6/D)
Part 2a: EbM7 - F/Eb - Dm7 - Gm7
Part 2b: Cm7 - Eb/F - Bb2 (- Ab/Bb - Bm6/D)

Hey teacher, is there any rules that govern the chord progession?
For example, chord VI cannot go to chord I etc…
I only know the name of them without the use of them.
I =Tonic
II=Supertonic
III=mediant
IV=subdominant
V=dominant
VI=submediant
VIIdim=subtonic
Thats why I cannot catch the chord easily regardless of my strength of ear.
Hi piano learner, I’m sure there are some ‘rules’ though I don’t know what they are! Haha! However, I believe these rules are probably more like guides. In other words, you are allowed to break them, especially if you were to do something creative. For what the rules are, try Google… and good luck!
haha thanks for the advice. Poor me always mix up 7th chord with others. For example , I mixed up II min7 with IV major lol coz IV major is part of II min7th.
I did search in internet, I found that the dominant 7 can be extend to a higher level, 11th 13th, etc. For example, the F/G is a extend chord designated G11, G-B-D-F-A-C but the 3th and 5th is usually omitted, thats why we play G-F-A-C, the sound of suspension is very well.

Actually every time I catch a chord, I usually keep listen to the chord and checking the validity of them. I think you are the only model answer lol. May I request for 許志安-一步一生? thanks for your effort
Very good observation and research, piano learner. You’re right about 11th and 13th, etc. The 11th is what I call “Minus One” in my cheat theory.
Also check out my latest post today, with a E7b9. That’s an interesting chord too.
I’m flattered by your comment.
Will add your request to the queue. Cheers!
thank you!
I am thinking of what note does E7b9 contain, EG#BDF?
I have checked the minus one chord but that time I didnot have much theory to understand. However I think I know what it is now.
Yup, that’s E7b9.
Sorry for the late reply. Haven’t been able to attend to comments as I have been busy doing the videos.
