Although I did not subscrbe your website, I keep looking at your site at least twice a day. Thanks for your passion and it is so amazing that you can treat that chords so easy while I know all of the chords and cannot create a good rhythmic pattern.
May I ask you some simple questions?
Do I need to press the keyboard stronger using my left hand finger? When I play chords in both hands, I found the bass note disappeared and the voicing isnt that good.
Another question is that when I play Eb/F as this video using both hands involving more fingers, should I play F chords with left hand and Eb chords in right hand? or just simply F note plus Eb chords in left hand and Eb chords in right hand
Hi pianolearner, thank you so much for visiting my site so frequently! I’m honored! I’m not sure why your bass note disappeared. Could it be the octaves that you use? Try the lower octaves on the keyboard and see if that helps.
Regarding Eb/F, whether you play full chord or not on your right hand (Eb), the left hand should just be the F note or notes (i.e. an octave), not the full F chord.
thanks for your suggestion
I am doing a video to play cheat chords by myself and would you proofread it when it is done. It would be 側田-三十日
Sure! Please send to me when it’s done.
Hey teacher. My work is done and I tried my best.
Would you set the video into highest priority because I admitted that I have put great effort on it but I need your support everytimes. I hope I can lower your workload as well as playing this to my GF. if it consume you much time you can have just abandoned it. thanks

Hi pianolearner, I just saw your message. Hv been busy. I’m not trying to catch up with reading and answering all the comments. I’m downloading the file you pointed me to right now. Will listen and get back to you. At the mean time, let me answer the other comments first.
I’ll check on my piano, and get back to you soon!
Hi pianolearner! Not bad, really. You got most of the chords right I’d say. Some 7th chords, however, you’ve turned them into minor-7. The intro should be: G - D/F# - C/E - Am7 - G/B - C - Am - G/B - C/D
Keep it up!
These are the chords I would play…
Verse (part 1): G - Bm7 - C - C/D (2 times)
Verse (part 2): Bm7 - E7 - Am7 - Cm6 - G - D/F# - Em7 - Em7/D - A7/C# - C/D
(Comment: This is where you used Em7 instead of E7. That last bit from G - D/F# until C/D is a bit tricky, but it is clearer when the song is repeated. Listen to the 2nd time when it’s sung.)
Pre-chorus: Bm7 - Em7 - Am7 - C/D - D/C - Bm7 - Em7 - Am7 - C/D
Chorus (part 1): G - B7 - Em7 - F/D - G - C - D/C - Bm7 - E7 - Am7 - Cm6 - Bm7 - Em7 - Am7 - EbM7 - C/D
(Comment: Most people would miss out the EbM7 there towards the end. Note also the B7 and E7 here.)
Chorus (part 2): G - B7 - Em7 - F/D - G - C - D/C (Bbm6/Db) - Bm7 - E7 - Am7 - Cm6 - Bm7 - Em7 - Am7 - C/D - G
(Comment: Note it’s the same as part 1 except the last few chords. The Bbm6/Db is what it sounds like instead of D/C when the song is repeated, though this is not played during the first time the chorus is sung. You can leave this out if it is too tricky).
I hope this helps.
Good job!
omg ><” thanks for your effort and support. I know listening to all songs requested by them is really really a harsh business. you are the best teacher who response to all comment and write sincerely.
I hope I can soon be your assistant who record some video from your request list by the time I am able to do so lol.
no one can disgree with your effort.
I have been introduce my friend to play chords using simpliest method and by ear like you.
when I saw some of my comment was awaiting moderation, I thought you found me troublesome and ignored it lol.
But you eventually replied all of them, thankssssssssssss. I am sorry for my being silly
Hi pianolearner, that would be great if you could one day share the load of the song requests I receive.
Keep it up!
Hey, no worries, pianolearner! It’s good to keep the communication going.
Sorry for my late replies at times. I’ve been busier these days, and with more and more song requests coming, I’m only able to read and respond to comments only once a week sometimes. Haha!
Hi, just wondering what is the other sound besides the piano sound? i’ve learnt the “cheat” chords u played. Its wonderful! amazingly much easier. I’d like to record a video for my boyfriend’s birthday n u hv helped me a lot with ur cheat chords. I will be singing this song and playing the piano as well, but i have difficulty while in the “progressive 1″ in the three times part, i always mistune harmonizing my voice with the piano. Any advice?
sorry i meant the “progressive 1″ in the fourth times part
The sound is “Tinker Bell”. I’ve just viewed the video to try to understand what you meant. Progression 1 is simply repeated several times. I’m not sure how to help in this case, but I guess practice makes perfect. Haha! :b
I have just replied you. And by the way, thank you very much for your encouraging feedback!
