I have been looking through the songs that you have done so far and it’s a really impressive list! A whole range of songs! While you used the term “cheats” to describe your pieces but really they are proper chords and the difference is just that you are playing a simpler chord instead of a fuller chord, and using the different inversions so that you don’t have to change notes so much and running up and down the keyboard. I learnt it that way from my seniors who play keyboard in church too. So for ppl who think that your version are “cheats” and are therefore the “wrong way” I think they absolutely don’t know enough. There’s no right or wrong in music (unless you play the wrong chords totally =p). There can only be different interpretations of the piece and different expressions. I love how you try to make it simpler for ppl who might not have such a strong music background. I am truly encouraged by what you do and am sure many appreciate it too (just ignore discouraging comments). Keep up the good work and God bless you!
