I am thinking of what note does E7b9 contain, EG#BDF?
I have checked the minus one chord but that time I didnot have much theory to understand. However I think I know what it is now.

Very good observation and research, piano learner. You’re right about 11th and 13th, etc. The 11th is what I call “Minus One” in my cheat theory. Also check out my latest post today, with a E7b9. haha thanks for the advice. Poor me always mix up 7th chord with others. For example , I mixed up II min7 with IV major lol coz IV major is part of II min7th.
I did search in internet, I found that the dominant 7 can be extend to a higher level, 11th 13th, etc. For example, the F/G is a extend chord designated G11, G-B-D-F-A-C but the 3th and 5th is usually omitted, thats why we play G-F-A-C, the sound of suspension is very well.

Hi piano learner, I’m sure there are some ‘rules’ though I don’t know what they are! Haha! However, I believe these rules are probably more like guides. In other words, you are allowed to break them, especially if you were to do something creative. For what the rules are, try Google… and good luck!
